Dairy Nutrient Management
Organic manure produced by livestock is a valuable resource. Improving nutrient and manure management can significantly increase the profitability of your business (up to £10/acre) whilst also ensuring cross compliance and NVZ regulations are met and improving consumer perception of the dairy industry. Manure and nutrient plans are also worth £2/ha each under Entry Level Stewardship.
The Dairy Group can help you to improve utilisation of nutrients from manure, review your fertiliser strategy and ensure you comply with NVZ regulations. We offer a bureau service for the PLANET nutrient management programme which provides fertiliser recommendations specific to each field each year taking account of the nutrients supplied from organic manures, soil and fertilisers.
