UK milk production ~ The UK unadjusted production in May of 1245 million litres was just 2 million litres (0.2%) above last year and 168 million litres below The Dairy Group quota profile. The May butterfat was 3.91%, which was 11 points above last year. The UK annual rolling production to May 2011 has increased to 13,391 million litres, which was 1456 million litres (9.8%) below quota. The 12 month rolling butterfat adjustment has increased by 1 point to 3.97% fat which is the same as the UK butterfat base. UK production was running at 4.6% above last year since May 2010 to April 2011, but the increase in May dropped dramatically, which would appear to be a drought effect.

 NVZ MANAGER & slurry storage

By 30th April the livestock records and N loading should be completed for 2010, together with the calculation of slurry storage and production. 5 months slurry storage should be in place by 1st January 2012. You can save up to 20% on the price of your dairy cake by joining one of our feed groups. We typically specify six high quality dairy cakes with a minimum 13 ME.
