Sourcing Dairy Inputs - Dairy Heifers
Our breeding specialist agrees a specification for the heifers, cows or bulls that you require. We then put the specification out to tender with a number of cattle agents in the chosen country. The agents then offer us heifers, cows or bulls which meet the specification at a given price. With your approval we then visit the farms in the chosen country to select the animals on your behalf or with you if you prefer.
The objective of this service is:
- to assist our clients to identify the type of livestock they require;
- to help our clients to find an agent to supply suitable livestock which represent good value for money;
- to help our clients to select or to select on their behalf livestock for purchase;
- to act as stakeholder while the livestock are being transported to the clients' farm;
- to provide and complete the documentation to implement the transaction of acquiring livestock and to protect our clients' interests.
The Dairy Group will order the livestock on behalf of the client within three working days of receipt of a written confirmation from the client.
The Dairy Group will charge the Client a fee per head of livestock purchased. This fee will be included in the agreed price payable for each animal and will be paid into The Dairy Groups’ stakeholder account. The Dairy Group will pay the net sum to the agent for the seller of the livestock within 7 days after the safe arrival of the livestock at the client’s farm.
